Family Activities
Groton is a family friendly community with many fun activities available. An impressive baseball/softball complex is located on the west side of town along with the soccer fields and the new ice skating rink. Every January the Carnival of Silver Skates produces an excellent ice skating extravaganza. The 2009 swimming pool has tennis and basketball courts located on its eastern edge. The city park has a playground and a walking path as well as places to camp overnight. Several volunteers work with the Boy Scouts, 4-H clubs, and youth football.
