Groton has grown from a two-man to a four-man full time police force. A third officer was added in 1996 and fourth officer added in 2011 thanks to a grant from the COPS FAST program.
Stacy Mayou is a D.A.R.E. certified instructor in the Groton Area School District.

Dog Licenses:
Licenses are due on the last working day of the year. Fines start January 1st at $1/day/dog (including weekends and holidays) until January 15th. On January 16th an additional $10 penalty is added to equal $25 and a summons can be issued.
