Public Works Laborer, Cemetery Maintenance, Baseball Groundskeepers, Baseball Gate Keepers, Baseball Concessions, Swimming Pool Manager(s), Swim Lesson Instructors, Aerobics Instructors, and Lifeguards.
Applications must be submitted by 5pm, Tuesday, March 19, 2024.


Members of the area met Thursday night to discuss economic development in the Groton SD Community. Another core team session will be held March 13th at 7pm at City Hall. From this core team, 6 members will be chosen to serve on the Groton Development Corporation.

Heartland Waste, our garbage contractor, has noticed soft spots on our city streets. To preserve them, we are beginning our Spring Thaw Garbage Routes the week of February 12th.


Due to the warm weather, the skating rink is starting to melt. To preserve the ice for the Carnival of Silver Skates this Sunday, the rink will be closed to the public now through the weekend. Next week's temperatures are above 40 degrees, so there is potential of the rink being permanently closed for the rest of the season.


The new Groton Police Department sign was installed today by Service Signs! Lighting will take place at a later date by Locke Electric. Thank you to the members of the Groton SD Community who partially funded this project! We are thankful for our "Boys in Blue"!
